Masters Level Counselor

Amy Rodriguez is a Masters Level Counselor focusing on Perinatal Mental Health and Women’s issues. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and a Master’s Degree in Counseling at Wayland Baptist University. She is supervised by LaVerne Collins, Licensed Professional Counselor.

Amy has completed Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders training and Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy training through Postpartum Support International. She has the knowledge and skills for assessment and treatment of perinatal mood disorders, birth trauma, grief and loss, post-traumatic stress disorder in NICU parents, infertility, and perinatal and postpartum wellness. Amy is also an Ambassador and volunteer for the Postpartum Support International-Georgia Chapter.

In addition to Maternal Mental Health, Amy is passionate about women’s issues and feels it is beneficial for women to address the challenges they face, such as body image, self-care, medical concerns, mental health, parenting, work-life balance, hormone imbalance, menopause, etc. Amy believes that women’s issues can significantly impact the daily lives and overall well-being of women, and through education and awareness, not only may these issues be better understood by others, but also better understood by the women they are affecting.

Previously, Amy was a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She moved to Georgia with her husband and two children in June 2022. Amy enjoys gardening, farmers markets, the beach, and traveling.
